All ST AV's professional staging for hire, is built from GT (Global Truss deck).
It feels rock solid to stand and perform on, but doesn’t weight as much as steel deck.
So while it's super safe as a mobile, small / medium stage platform. It's cheaper to transport and set up.
Wedding Stage Hire
Weddings are one of the most common events our stages get hired for. We are proud to have the cleanest stage in the area!
Which is what most of our wedding clients want: something to raise the band / dj / entertainment up. But also something that's neat, tidy and fits in with their room set up.
On this page, we'll take an overview look at some of the most common types of stages for hire:
DJ Riser Hire
A riser usually refers to the use of stage deck, to create a platform that raises a performer up. In this case, for a DJ.
Our clients ask us for this type of set up, in the case of named DJ's playing shows.
Or in a store promo context, like in the above example, when we went into Selfridges in Manchester City Centre
DJ Table Hire
Also referred to as a DJ table, DJ booth, DJ counter or DJ trestle. This unit usually measures 2m wide, 0.5m deep and 1m height. That's a good recommended size for 2 x CDJ's and a mixer between.
It can have a plain black or glossy white front cover.

Drum Riser Hire
Hire a drum riser to get those drums looking great, and (perhaps even more crucially), get the cymbals above the height of the vocal mic, to make sure it sounds best. £58 + VAT for 2m x 2m. This riser comes pre carpeted.

Band Stage Hire

The minimum size I recommend for a band stage is 6m x 3m. That said, we can provide smaller if venue space is more limited.
This stage deck comes ready carpeted.
So will sound better straight away.
Be wary of cheap “revo” and other light weight stages. (You know the types, they’ve got thin metal criss cross type legs systems).
They’re okay-ish for just standing on, but not properly safe and certainly not nice to play music on.
Whereas, this GT deck stage we have is a proper, solid slab of stage deck. It’s going to feel perfectly firm underfoot, and is absolutely cracking to play drums on I can speak from experience!
