Throughout this page I'll share with you some photos as inspiration and advice, for AV that may serve you well for your awards ceremony. As well it has already served the NHS East Lancashire Trust Shine Awards and Genies Wish charitable foundation, (who my team and I have looked after AV for a several years).

In my experienced opinion, (based on 21 years event planning in a technical role), the most costly mistake that event organisers make, as it relates to audio visual (aka AV), is when AV is considered as an after-thought.
To be clear, when we say event AV, we're referring here to making sure that the speeches are heard, and the text, images and video on screen, get seen.
And then beyond that, that the sound is warm, full and pleasant to listen to. And that the room is light so that it creates the type of atmosphere that you, the event organiser, had in mind.
Whoever you choose to help you curate an impactful event, or even if you choose to D-I-Y the sound and lighting technology, I'd highly recommend outline planning of AV prior to booking the venue.
Here's why: If you don't set clear goals for what AV can achieve for you, then you risk either:
1. Getting sold something generic as part of a venue's package, that may not be appropriate.
2. Spending more money than you needed to have done. Because the later sourcing of additional "bits" of AV to integrate into venue packages, is generally in efficient.
Or spending more money than you needed to have done, because there are some venues in the Manchester area that already have fantastic, fully functional audio visual systems installed. (And you can ask us to recommend those venues which are best fitted out with AV by the way).
Most importantly though please be advised, there are many venues that, although they may look great, don't have their own suitable AV for awards nights.
So that's at your cost if you choose such a venue.
Identity which venues are suitable, by actually asking the venue to show you. Don't just take their word for it that the in house AV works.
To put it simply, each month I generally receive several calls and emails from enquirers asking for help with AV because (they say things like) "we've just found out that actually the venue doesn't have...(or) actually we need 2 more...."
Cynically that's great news for our type of business. Or is it?
Rushing in at the last minute to fill some technical gaps isn't really what we want to do for you. And while occasionally "saving the day" does feel rewarding, it's hectic and fraught with risk.
What's better for both yours and my mental health, is a smooth, hassle free event, that's flawlessly delivered, and with lasting impact on guests!
