SM57 Beta
Hire from £10.40
This is the Shure Beta 57A, a premium dynamic instrument microphone. It is widely used for live sound reinforcement and studio recording, particularly effective on drums, guitar amplifiers, brass, and even strong vocals.
The Beta 57A offers a supercardioid pickup pattern, which provides excellent gain before feedback and good rejection of off-axis sound. This makes it a reliable choice in busy stage environments where sound isolation is important. Its brightened mid-range and bass roll-off are tailored to capture instrument detail clearly without excessive boominess. When you hire this microphone, it comes with a standard XLR cable and a microphone clip.
Compared to the standard SM57, the Beta 57A provides a higher output and a slightly more extended frequency response, often resulting in a clearer, more defined sound. It is built to withstand the rigours of live performance, making it a dependable option for any event requiring robust instrument or vocal amplification.
We can provide same-day quotes for all equipment. Based in Manchester, we offer dry hire from our premises or delivery across the local area. National delivery is also available for orders over our minimum £100 + VAT threshold.
