Sennheiser MKH 416 P48 Microphone
Hire from £38.70
This is the Sennheiser MKH 416 P48, a highly regarded short shotgun interference tube microphone. It is a common choice for location sound recording, dialogue capture, and any situation where precise, directional audio pickup is required, especially in challenging acoustic environments.
The MKH 416 is known for its excellent directivity and rejection of off-axis sound, making it effective at isolating voices or specific sound sources. Its robust build quality means it stands up well to the demands of professional use, both indoors and outdoors. When you hire this microphone, it comes with a standard XLR cable and a suitable microphone clip. You will need to provide 48V phantom power from your mixer or recorder.
Compared to a standard condenser, the MKH 416 offers a much tighter pickup pattern, which can be invaluable for reducing unwanted ambient noise. It is a reliable workhorse for sound recordists who need consistent performance and clarity.
We can provide same-day quotes for all equipment hire. Based in Manchester, we offer dry hire from our premises or can deliver to your location. Please note there is a minimum order value of £100 plus VAT for all hires. National delivery is also available.
