Sennheiser MD421

This is the Sennheiser MD421, a well-regarded dynamic microphone known for its robust build and clear sound. It is a common fixture in studios and on stages for capturing instruments with punch and definition.

The MD421 excels on sources that require a microphone with good transient response and the ability to handle high sound pressure levels. You will often see it used on tom drums, snare drums, and kick drums, where its directional pattern helps to isolate the sound. It also performs well on guitar amplifiers, bass cabinets, and brass instruments, providing a full and articulate sound without harshness. While it is a dynamic microphone, it offers a wider frequency response than some of its counterparts, making it a flexible tool for various recording and live sound applications.

When you hire the MD421 from us, it comes with a standard XLR cable and a microphone clip, ready for immediate use. It is a wired microphone, so there is no need for a separate receiver or batteries to manage.
