Sennheiser E906

This is the Sennheiser E906, a professional-grade dynamic instrument microphone. It is a popular choice for miking guitar cabinets, often placed directly in front of the speaker cone, and also works well for snare drums or other percussion instruments where a clear, punchy sound is needed.

The E906 is known for its flat, rugged design, making it easy to position in tight spaces on stage. It offers a clear, articulate sound with good transient response, capturing the character of your instrument without excessive colouration. Its supercardioid polar pattern helps to reject unwanted bleed from other instruments on a busy stage. We supply the E906 with a standard XLR cable and a microphone clip, ready for immediate use with your mixing desk or audio interface.

Compared to a condenser microphone, the E906 is less sensitive to high sound pressure levels, making it a reliable choice for loud sources like guitar amps. Its dynamic nature also means it does not require phantom power, simplifying setup. If you need a dependable microphone for instrument amplification, particularly electric guitar, the E906 is a solid option.
